This is an unusual combination of two different trilobite species found together in Morocco. Both specimens on this piece have some coloration from limonite present, providing a golden/yellow hue. The Reedops fossil measures 1.375" and has very well preserved eye lenses. The Crotalocephalus fossil measures 2.75" along the central axis and has visible spines along the sides, with distinct pygidium (rear) spines. There is some filler and repair where the two fossils meet from the preparation process visible under UV light. This is certainly a good specimen to add to a Trilobite collection.

Trilobites are one of the earliest fossils of arthropods to exist in the fossil record, existing between the Cambrian Period (521 million years ago) and the Permian-Triassic extinction event (251 million years ago). Both genera represented in this piece existed during the Devonian Period around 419-383 million years ago.
