Fossil Echinoid (Sea Urchin)

A great example of an urchin fossil in limestone from the Late Cretaceous Period (100-93 million years ago). The amount of detail where spines attached is incredible and not something often seen from fossils in this region. A very well prepared specimen for a fossil collector. The fossil stands with the base at 2" tall and measures 1.75" x 1.5".

Locality: Taouz, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Anti-Atlas Mountains, Morocco
