A rare fossil plate to come by. These fossil plates come from Western Australia and can be quite challenging to obtain outside of domestic Australian marketplace. This piece contains 5 crinoid (Jimbacrinus bostocki) specimens and 2 brittle star (Teleosaster creasyi) specimens, all of which have been meticulously prepared to show incredible detail. In our years of operation, this is the only specimen from this region we have been able to obtain.
Coming from the Cundlego Formation, these fossils are from the early Permian Period (~275 million years ago). The specimens represented in this formation are not found anywhere else in the world and are highly sought after, especially due to Australian cultural protection laws. Paperwork from the National Cultural Heritage Committee clearing the fossil plate for export is included with purchase.
