Aragonite (CaCO3) is a relatively abundant mineral found near the surface across Earth. Aragonite can come in almost any color, usually due to the presence of secondary minerals and metals. The red in our Aragonite is caused by iron oxides, which is frequent for Moroccan material. These small specimens are found in mud balls, then cleaned up. While inexpensive, these specimens are still great examples of Aragonite crystals and can be quite striking.
