Known for its stunning blue color, Pentagonite is a very rare mineral. Chemically identical to Cavansite, this dimorph (meaning different crystal structure) was first documented in Oregon in 1973. Today, almost all Pentagonite comes from India. This piece demonstrates the distinct acicular (needle-like) crystals set on clear Stilbite with a Basalt matrix. The Stilbite crystals are stellar, with high clarity and spectacular structure. The Pentagonite forms beautiful splays, with minor damage a few crystals.
Species: Cavansite, Stilbite
