A baby Woolly Mammoth molar with some enamel preservation creating a contrast of light blue against the dark brown of the tooth crown. This is a partial tooth with a clear fracture plane on one of the enamel plates. The smaller, shallower root structure indicates this was an adolescent mammoth.

The tooth is stabilized, but does not have repair or restoration. A small hole has been drilled into the tooth for mounting on the stand that is included with the piece. The partial crown of the tooth measures 2.1" across. Tooth measures 2.1" x 2.5" x 2.1" (width x height x depth). Measures with display stand at 2.5" x 5" x 2.4".

An engaging natural history display, this specimen offers a close look at the remarkable dental structure of mammoths.
