An example of a Woolly Mammoth molar with some separation of the enamel plates. The permineralization of the enamel creates a dark brown outline of the dentum centers (medium brown). This a large fragment of a larger tooth, with distinct root structure and texture.
The tooth is stabilized, but does not have repair or restoration. A small hole has been drilled into the tooth for mounting on the stand that is included with the piece. The partial crown of the tooth measures 2.5" across. Tooth measures 2.8" x 3.7" x 2.5" (width x height x depth). Measures with display stand at 2.8" x 5.3" x 3.1".
An engaging natural history display, this specimen offers a close look at the remarkable dental structure of mammoths.
