A unique Woolly Mammoth Tooth, with a portion of the tooth missing exposing deep blue Vivianite formation along the fracture. There is minor separation of some of the enamel plates, showing the "units" that make up the tooth. A very rich, dark brown tooth with intact enamel creating a light blue/white contrast with the rest of the molar. The root structures have some minor wear.
The tooth is stabilized, but does not have repair or restoration. A small hole has been drilled into the tooth for mounting on the stand that is included with the piece. The crown of the tooth measures 2.8" across. Tooth measures 2.8" x 3.5" x 2.4" (width x height x depth). Measures with display stand at 2.8" x 5.3" x 3.1".
An engaging natural history display, this specimen offers a close look at the remarkable dental structure of mammoths.
