This fossil Woolly Mammoth molar shows distinct enamel plates along with tooth wear. Mammoth teeth should be flat for effective grinding, but this tooth is significantly concave, indicating tooth wear and possible dental abnormality. The roots of the tooth are in excellent condition with a smooth texture and minimal to no damage. The crown is not fully intact, with a portion of the tooth missing on one side. The enamel is preserved on several plates, offering a nice light blue/white contrast with the medium brown of the permineralized tooth.

The tooth is stabilized, but does not have repair or restoration. A small hole has been drilled into the tooth for mounting on the stand that is included with the piece. The crown of the tooth measures 3" across. Tooth measures 3" x 4.4" x 2.8" (width x height x depth). Measures with display stand at 3.1" x 6.5" x 3".

An engaging natural history display, this specimen offers a close look at the remarkable dental structure of mammoths.
